Mobile Educational Game “Time Machine: A Quest” Launched by UNDP in Uzbekistan

A new mobile educational game “Time Machine: A Quest” dedicated to the issues of the ozone layer was presented in Tashkent.  The mobile game was developed by UNDP in Uzbekistan, State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Ecology and Environmental Protection jointly with Ozone Secretariat and OzonAction Programme of UN Environment.

The action in the game takes place in 2150. By this time mankind completely depleted the ozone layer of the earth due to uncontrolled emissions of ozone-depleting substances into the atmosphere. This resulted in the gradual disappearance of all life on Earth. The educational game was originally developed in the two official languages of the United Nations – English and Russian. It is planned to translate the game into the remaining 4 official languages of the United Nations.
